What is GPRS modem?

It is an external wireless modem device which can use for wireless communication. As it is using the mobile network for communication, you need to insert a SIM card into the modem. Each model of our GPRS modem will have two interfaces for you to choose, either serial com port(RS232) or USB interface.

You can use the serial com port(RS232) or USB interface to get connect with you PC or server to achieve the communication goal. Single PC or Server can connect up to 24 GPRS modems with PCI com port interface card. For easy management of GPRS modems, GPRS Modem Pool is recommended to use.

GPRS modem can be programmed by “AT command”. It is very useful for MMS, WAP, SMS, mobile voice, Fax, CSD data communication.

The main different between GSM and GPRS Modems are GPRS Modem support MMS, WAP and GPRS communication.
